2014: Competed in four events ... season-best 8k time of 26.02.0 at the Illini Open finishing fourth for Purdue and 14th overall ... was Purdue's second finisher and 7th overall 5k time of 15.19.3 at the Belmont Opener ... competed in the Indiana Intercollegiates 8k run to finish with a time of 26.48.9 ... finished fifth for Purdue at the ISU Pre-National Invitational with a time of 27.05.5 in the 8k run.
2013:Competed in 6 meets during the season and finished 34th at the BIG Championships with a season best time of 25:11.5; Placed 15th at the Big Ten Preview with a time of 25:25.1; Ran at Indiana Intercollegiate and finished 24th with a time of 26:07.09; Competed in the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals and finished 73rd with a time of 32:22.00.
2012: Raced in five races during the season; at the first meet, the Crusader Open he finished 11th with a time of 20:09.2; on 9/14 at the Indiana Intercollegiates he ran a 25:42.6 finishing 26th; at Sean Earl Loyola Invite taken place in Chicago, Ill. He finished 33rd running a time of 25:52; on 10/12 he competed at the Adidas Invite running a 26:25 finishing 293rd; At the Big Ten Champs meet, he finished 93rd with a time of 26:10.3
High School: Four year letterwinner in cross country, basketball, and track; cross country team was four-year conference champs; was a track sectional champ in the 3200m run all four years; sectional and regional champ his final three years in cross country; state qualifier in cross country his final three years; 1A-2A Runner of the Year as a junior; Academic All-State Honorable Mention as a junior; won conference in 800m, 1600m, and 3200m his final two years; finished fourth at the state meet in the 3200m as a junior; was part of the All-Star Team for cross country as a senior; basketball team won sectionals his senior year with a 21-3 record; set sectional records in track in the 1600m and 3200m; graduated Summa Cum Laude and won the Human Rights Award.
Personal: Tate Jordan Schienbein was born April 4, 1994 to parents Tom and Cindy Schienbein; is an only child; plans to major in mathematics; father played basketball and golf at St. Francis College while mother played volleyball, basketball, and track at the same school; was born in Oxford, Ohio; enjoys playing all kinds of sports, technology, and hanging out with friends.
