Purdue will send 14 individuals to the race in Richmond, Ind.

2010: Opened the season with a career-best time of 25:25.77 at the IPFW Invitational (9/11), good for 13th place; finished 43rd at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/17) with a time of 26:37.50; ran a 26:45.60 8K at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (10/2); finished 84th at the Big Ten Championships (10/31) after posting a 27:05.80.

2009: Finished sixth on the team and 12th overall at the Great American Legends (9/4), running the 8K race in 27:20.15; crossed the line 55th overall at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/18), turning in an 8K time of 27:18.8; completed the Gibson Family Invitational (10/10) 8K in 28:07.8.

High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at the Fountain Valley School of Colorado; 2008 Colorado State High School Cross Country 2A runner-up with a time of 16:02.17; 2009, 3,200-meter Colorado High School Track and Field 2A champion, also placed fourth in the 1,600-meter run; placed in the top-10 in the 3,200m, 1,600m in 2008 and 2007, and took sixth in the 800m in 2007; placed second in the 5,000-meter run at the 2008 USATF Youth Outdoor Track Championships; owns career-best times of 32:50 in the 10,000-meter run, 9:33.37 in the 3,200-meter run and 4:25.62 in the 1,600-meter run.

Personal: Steven James Stoot was born Sept. 19, 1990, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada; is the son of Fred and Janettes Stoot; has one brother, Daniel, and one sister, Jennifer; enjoys fly fishing, bug catching, snowboarding, rocketry and playing the saxophone.
