2010: Finished third on the team and 10th overall at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships in his only appearance of the season with a time of 25:07.60 (9/17).

2009: Ran his first collegiate 8K race in 25:58.2, placing second on the team and 19th overall at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/18); improved his top 8K mark in his second straight race at the Greater Louisville Classic (10/3), running a time of 25:25.65; finished 10th overall and second on the team with an 8K mark of 26:09.38 at the Sam Bell Invitational (10/17).

Before Purdue: Attended the University of Otago in 2008, after graduating from St. Patrick's Wellington School; named the 2007 St. Patrick's Wellington Track and Field Athlete of the Year; placed fourth in the national cross country championship in 2007, and placed fourth in the 800-meter run at the New Zealand Secondary School Championship; earned second place at the 2009 New Zealand Championships with a career-best time of 3:51.10, and placed third in the 3,000-meter run with a personal record time of 8:29.00.

Personal: Simon Anthony Rogers was born Oct. 1, 1989, in Hamilton, New Zealand; is the son of Tony and Philippa Rogers, his father was a 1984 Olympian for New Zealand; has one brother, Ben; enjoys watching the All Blacks Rugby Team and playing backyard cricket; intends to major in movement and sport science.
