80 Boilermakers earn undergraduate degree
Football led the way for fall honorees.
Purdue improved its Academic All-Big Ten total by 18 student-athletes from merely a year ago.
The Purdue women had two top five finishers at the Hoosier Invite in Bloomington.
The Boilermakers are sending 18 individuals to compete in Bloomington on Friday.
2014: Competed in five events ... season-best 8k time of 25.59.3 at the Illini Open taking 11th and finishing second for Purdue ... came in 35th in the 5k at the Belmont Opener ... took 19th at the Indiana Intercollegiate 8k open run with a time of 26.44.9 ... was 33rd overall in the five-mile JV run at the Notre Dame Invitational ... placed fourth for Purdue at the ISU Pre-National Invitational 8k open race with a time of 26.47.7 where the team took second.
2013:Competed in 6 meets during the 2013 season finishing 9th with a season best time of 16:13.35 at the Michigan Invite 5k race; At Nationals-Open he placed 22nd with a time of 25:55.43; Finished 92nd with a time of 27:01.3 at the BIG Championships to end the season.
2012: Raced in four events on the season; His best time came at the Hoosier Invite with a 13th place time of 26:22.00; finished 21st at the Crusader Open with a 6k time of 20:50.7; competed in the Indiana Intercollegiates finishing 24th ; at the Sean Earl Loyola Invite he ran a 117th place time of 26:56
High School: Earned four varsity letters in cross country and three in track; earned all-conference honors all four years and three in track; team finished fifth at the state meet and second in the Midwest Distance Gala during his freshman year; finished fourth in the state in the 4x800m relay after winning the sectionals and regionals as a senior; finished ninth in the state in the 800m run as a senior after winning the sectional; all-state selection in his final prep season.
Personal: Robert 'Rocky' Fulton Pollock was born Nov. 26, 1993 to parents Bob and Kelli Pollock; has an older sister, Corrie; plans to major in health and kinesiology; father played football at Evansville University; enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with friends.
