HIGH SCHOOL Earned four varsity letters in track and field and three varsity awards in cross country at Carmel High School; helped his team to the Indiana State High School Cross Country Team Championship as a junior, and ran on the state championship 4x800-meter relay that season as well; placed fourth at the state track and field championships in the 1,600-meter run as a senior, posting a season-best time of 4:13.1.
PERSONAL Daniel Lee Porter was born Dec. 10, 1991, in Indianapolis, Ind.; is the son of Stanley and Tina Porter; has two sisters, Shana and Brooke; enjoys basketball and history; majoring in secondary education.
