2011: Began the season at the IPFW Invitational finishing with a time of 18:54.37 and finishing sixth overall; at the Indiana Intercollegiates on Sept. 16 finished with a time of 18:14; on Oct. 14 finished with a time of 22:00 at the Adidas Elite Invitational; at the Big Ten Championships finished with a time of 21:32; on Nov. 12 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional finished with a time of 21:43.3.
2010: In her first season running for the Boilermakers she competed in all six races; her season began with the Great America Legends (9/3) where she clocked a 18:31.27, placing her third individually; at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/17) she clocked her best 5k score with a 18:27.00; Her best 6k score came at the Big Ten Cross Country Championships (10/31) with a score of 21.39.3 finishing 55th individually and a team place of 52nd; also ran at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional where she was the second Boilermaker to finish.
2009:Finished her first collegiate 5K race in 19:43.81, taking ninth place overall at the Great American Legends (9/4); improved her top collegiate 5K time to 19:06.3 at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/18) to place 24th overall.; bettered her top 5K mark for the third consecutive race at the Greater Louisville Classic (10/3), finishing 36th overall with a time of 18:18.42; finished her first career 6K in 22:56.9, taking home fifth place individually at the Gibson Family Invitational (10/10); improved her top 6K mark for the second consecutive race, finishing 13th overall in 22:41.29 at the Sam Bell Invitational (10/17); recorded a career-best 6K time of 22:27 at the Big Ten Championships (11/1), also competed in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship (11/14).
High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at Carmel High School; led her team to the Indiana High School State Cross Country Team Championship, finishing third overall with a time of 18:25.55 for 5K; ran on the 2009 4x800-meter relay Indiana High School State Championship squad, also led relay to a third-place showing in 2008; clocked a personal record of 5:07 in the 1,600-meter run as a senior; took eighth at the state meet in the 1,600-meter run as a junior, and ninth as a sophomore.
Personal: Kelly Elizabeth McCurdy was born May 24, 1991, in Carmel, Ind.; is the daughter of Scott and Diane McCurdy; has one brother, Ryan, and a twin sister, Kayla, who is also on the Purdue cross country and track and field teams; enjoys swimming, outdoor activities, photography and shopping; intends to major in the college of sciences.
