2005: After two years away from the course, opened the season with a 27:11.7 at the Great American Legends (9/9), a time he would improve by 1:45 during the season; finished 24th of 224 at the Indiana Intercollegiates (9/16) with a 16:15.0; posted a career-best time of 25:26.0 at the elite Notre Dame Invitational; ran a 26:29.08 at the Big Ten Championships (10/30), improving his finishing position from the 2002 championships by 19 places.
