2010: Started the season off with a 5k time of 18:34.92 at the Great American Legends (9/3), a fourth place finish and a career best 5k time of the season; timed a 18:39:10 at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/17); edged a career best 6k time of 21:56.2 at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (10/2), finishing 91st individual place and 84th team place; finished as the fifth Boilermaker at the Big Ten championships (10/31) and NCAA Great Lakes Regional (11/13).

2009: Posted a 5K time of 19:42.22 at the season-opening Great American Legends race (9/4), good for sixth on the team and eighth overall; improved her career-best 5K for the second straight race, running the Greater Louisville Classic (10/3) in 18:42.41; clocked a mark of 22:51.6 in her first career 6K race, taking fourth overall at the Gibson Family Invitational (10/10); finished 16th overall at the Sam Bell Invitational (10/17), improving her best for 6K to 22:48.53; turned in a career-best 6K time of 22:36 at the Big Ten Championships (11/1), also competed in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship (11/14).

2008: Ran a career-opening 5K time of 20:57.59 at the Great American Legends race (9/5); turned in a career-best 5K mark of 20:53.00 in the open race at the Indiana Intercollegiates (9/19).

High School: Two-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at Zionsville Community High School; named a team captain of both the cross country and track and field teams as a senior; also earned academic all-state honors and the team's most improved award in both sports as a senior as well.

Personal: Kara Ashly Conflenti was born Nov. 15, 1989, in Champaign, Ill.; is the daughter of Frank Conflenti and Catherine Spalding; has one brother, Anthony and four sisters: Nicole, Ongelique, Emily and Elyse; enjoys singing, going to the beach and running; majoring in nursing.
