Seven Boilermakers to Compete at USATF Championships
Brandon Winters will compete against the American recold holder in the 110m hurdles on Saturday.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Seven Boilermakers will travel to the USA Track & Field Junior and Senior Championships this week while another will compete in the Jamaican national meet. The five-day US event is at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

Who’s Competing From Purdue
-Five Boilermaker men will compete in six events at the USATF Championships.
-Coy Blair, Matthew McClintock, and Tate Schienbein will compete in the junior championships while Geoff Davis and Brandon Winters are scheduled to compete in the senior championships.
-Two current Purdue women will compete in the USATF championships.
-Cierra Brown is in the junior championships while Dani Bunch is in the senior championships.
-Purdue grad and US Record holder Kara Patterson is entered in the women’s javelin.
-Andre’ Peart will compete in the men’s 400m hurdles at the Jamaican Championships.

US Junior Championships
-Blair kicks things off for the Boilermakers on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. CT in the men’s shot put.
-Brown also competes on Thursday and is in the women’s triple jump at 1 p.m.
-Schienbein is in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase at 1:25 p.m. on Thursday.
-Blair will be back at it on Friday with the men’s hammer throw at 1 p.m.
-McClintock wraps up the junior championships for Purdue with the men’s 10k at 9 p.m.



US Senior Championships
-Patterson opens up action in the javelin on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. CT.
-Bunch competes in the women’s shot put on Saturday at 1 p.m.
-Winters competes in the 110m hurdles on Saturday at 3:10 p.m.
-Davis wraps up the action with the men’s high jump on Sunday at 1:45 p.m.

Jamaican Championships
-Peart runs the 400m hurdles on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. ET. If he qualifies for finals, he will compete again at 8:20 p.m. on Friday.

-Winters is in the same 110m hurdles heat as U.S. record holder Aries Merritt.
-Bunch will be up against the best from the collegiate level as Felisha Johnson of Indiana State and Tia Brooks of Oklahoma are in the meet.
-Davis will be up against NCAA silver medalists Eric Kynard who competed for Kansas State.
