WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its list of All-Americans and Leah Eber and Dani Bunch were honored. Eber and Bunch earned Second Team All-America honors in the long jump and shot put, respectively.

Honors were awarded based on performance at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships last weekend. First team All-America honors were given to those that scored for their teams or made it to an eight person final. Second team honors were given to anyone placing between ninth and 16th place.

Eber just missed first team honors as she took ninth place in the long jump last Thursday. She adds her second team award to a first team honor that she picked up during the indoor season when she finished third in the same event. Bunch picked up the second team honor after finishing 15th in the shot put. It is her third such honor of the season as she finished 15th in the weight throw and 16th in the shot put during the indoor season.

Eber leapt 6.30m (20-08.00) to earn ninth place. Bunch threw a mark of 16.21m (53-02.25) for her 15th place finish. The two capped remarkable individual seasons as both won two Big Ten Championships (one indoor, one outdoor) and earned major conference awards as Eber was the Big Ten Indoor Field Athlete of the Year and Bunch was the Big Ten Indoor Field Athlete of the Championships. Both also set school records during the indoor season. Eber graduated from Purdue with a degree in apparel and design technology while Bunch will be back for her junior year in the fall.
