Track Heads to B1G Championships
Vanessa McLeod will look to sweep the Big Ten in the 800m run this weekend. The freshman holds the indoor and outdoor school records in the event and won the indoor B1G title.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue track and field team heads to the outdoor conference championships this weekend. The Boilermakers travel to Columbus, Ohio, for the Big Ten Championships in which they will compete from Friday through Sunday.

Who's Competing for Purdue
-Purdue will have 57 individuals, 30 men and 27 women, competing at the Big Ten Championships.
-The men are headlined by Cale Allen (5k), Coy Blair (SP), Geoff Davis (HJ), Chukwuebuka Enekwechi (HT, SP), Jakob Engel (SP), and Brandon Winters (110m HH).
-The women's group is highlighted by Cierra Brown (TJ), Dani Bunch (SP), Aarin Jones (400m), Kelly McCurdy (5k), Vanessa McLeod (800m), Nikki Nunn (LJ), and Ciana Tabb (100m HH).

The Boilermakers At Last Year's Championships
-The Purdue women tied for 10th last season with 40 points while the men finished 11th with 15.5 points.
-The women were led by then-senior Leah Eber who won the long jump title and Bunch who won the shot put crown.
-The men were led by Davis who tied for third in the high jump and Mitch Erickson who finished fourth in the pole vault.

Last Year's Championships
Wisconsin won the men's title with 121 points while Nebraska took second with 115.5 points.
-Indiana finished third on the men's side with 115 points while Ohio State took fourth with 86 points and Iowa rounded out the top five with 80.5 points.
-Ohio State repeated as B1G Outdoor Champs on the women's side as it posted 117 points.
-Illinois and Nebraska shared second place as they both had 110 points.
-Penn State took fourth with 87 points while Wisconsin was fifth with 78 points.

Purdue's Last Time Out
The Boilermakers competed at the Drake Relays two weeks ago. The men's 4x200m relay team took the top spot as did Davis in the high jump.
