WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's and women's track and field teams will field a small roster at Friday's Indiana Relays, hosted by Indiana University, taking eight athletes to compete in limited action. Events will begin Friday at 4 p.m. in the Hoosiers' Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse.

The Boilermakers' weekend roster consists of five men and three women; with junior Adetayo Adesanya, sophomore Andy Dunn and freshmen Jacob Palmer, Josh Lee and Gabe Pirtle competing for the men and senior Lauren Scott, junior Rachel Stalzer and sophomore Emily Breslin for the women.

Adesanya and Breslin will be the only field competitors, participating in the men's and women's high jump. Adesanya has cleared 2.10 meters (6-10.75) in all three meets so far this season and looks to bump it up to the NCAA provisional standard of 2.14 meters (7-00.25) on Friday. Breslin marked an indoor collegiate best 1.70 meters (5-07.00) at last Saturday's Gene Edmonds Cup and hopes to be closing in on the national provisional height of 1.78 meters (5-10.00).

The Boilermakers will attack the middle distances on the track as Scott, Lee and Dunn will vie in the 400-meter dash, while Stalzer, Pirtle and Palmer are set to race the 600-meter run. Scott has a season-best of 57.55 in the 400, but looks to close in on her career-best mark of 56.56, while Lee and Dunn are fresh off collegiate bests, racing to times of 49.38 and 49.63 last Saturday. Stalzer posted a solid time of 1:34.31 in the 600 two weeks ago at the Indiana Invitational, and hopes to better that time and ascend the Boilermakers' all-time list in the event on Friday. Palmer and Pirtle have both steadily improved through the first three meets of the season and posted respective marks of 1:21.05 and 1:21.63 at the Gene Edmonds Cup.
