WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men’s and women’s track and field programs will host a callout on Tuesday night for any Purdue students who are interested in becoming part of the teams’ student section, the Boiler Pit Crew. The callout will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. ET at Beering Hall in room 1232.

Interested students who show up to the callout will have the opportunity to meet select members of the teams. Posters may also be distributed as well as autographs. The Boiler Pit Crew has an $8 membership fee which covers the cost of a t-shirt. This is the second year of the Boiler Pit Crew and the first during the Lonnie Greene era as the teams’ head coach. The Boilermakers kicked off the season last Saturday and have already showed marked improvement. The teams boast two returners who have won Big Ten Championships during their career with Geoff Davis on the men’s side and Dani Bunch for the women.

The Boilermakers will host two home indoor meets as well as two home outdoor events this season. The first meet is this Saturday, Jan. 19, and will last most of the day. The final home indoor meet is on Feb. 16 with the Boilermaker Invitational and that event will also last all day. All home indoor meets will be inside Lambert Fieldhouse located just south of Mackey Arena.
