JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The NCAA Track & Field East Preliminary continued on Friday and four more Boilermakers competed. Terri Anderson, Brandon Winters, Kari Shoolbraid, and Stephanie Bonk all vied for a spot in the NCAA Championships.

Anderson competed for the second day in a row as she was in the shot put on Thursday. Friday, she again fell short of qualifying as she was unable to record a distance in the discus throw. Winters ran in the 110m hurdles. The sophomore posted a time of 14.07 seconds which put him in 30th place overall. That time was just .03 seconds off of qualifying for a quarterfinal.

Shoolbraid was back in action after qualifying for the quarterfinals in the 800m run on Thursday. Friday, she ran a time of 2:10.44 which put her in 22nd place overall. That time was less than four seconds off from qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Bonk was the final Boilermaker in action on the day as she ran in the 3000m steeplechase. The senior finished seventh in her heat with a time of 10:20.08. That time was good for 20th overall, but not quite good enough to advance. Bonk was 7.48 seconds off the final qualifying time.
