Boilermakers Host 18th Annual Gene Edmonds Cup Saturday

Purdue welcomes 337 competitors from four teams, including the Boilermakers, for Saturday's meet.

2012: Took first at the Gene Edmunds Cup (1/21) and second at the Boilermaker Invite (2/18) in the 600 meter run. Placed first at the Purdue Invitational (1/7) in the 800 meter run. Part of the 4x400 meter relay team that placed second at the Boilermaker Invite, the Purdue Invitational and the Mike Poehlein Invitational (3/30-3/31). Placed second at the Penn Relays as a member of the 4x800 meter relay team.

High School:Four-year participant in cross country and track and three years in swimming at Lake Central High School in St. John, Ind.; lettered in all sports every year participated; freshman year was MVP, most promising freshman and all-state in cross country; sophomore year all-state, 4x800 team runner-up at state, and team was state runner-up in cross country; track team was regional champions sophomore and junior years; junior year cross country team was state runner-up, 4x800 team placed fifth at state, 4x400 team placed eighth, was 800m state runner-up, and set school record; senior year was 4x800 state runner-up, 10th at 800m in state and won cross country mental attitude award.
