Boilers Sweep Hoosiers, First Wins Since Series Renewed in 2010

The Boilermakers broke three school records and seven meet records on Saturday.

2004 (Outdoor): Competed for Croatia at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the shot put and placed 29th with a throw of 62-3.75 ... was presented with the Sagamore of the Wabash Award by Indiana Governor Joe Kernan, following his Olympic appearance ... the award is highest honor, which the Governor of Indiana bestows ... prior to the Olympics, recorded a lifetime best throw of 66-7.75 at Croatia-based track and field meet ... finished runner-up in the shot put at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a season-best launch of 64-4.75 ... placed fourth in the discus at the conference championships with another season-best throw of 178-9 ... earned victories in the shot put at the Purdue Invitational, Indy Relays and against Indiana ... recorded a second-place showing in the discus against the Hoosiers with a launch of 173-1 ...
