Four-year varsity letterwinner at West Lafayette High School; three-time cross country team most valuable runner; four-time Indiana State High School cross country championship qualifier, placing in the top 25 three times and notching a top individual mark of 10th overall; four-time Indiana High School track and field championship qualifier, placing 10th in the state in the 2-mile run twice.
