Track Hosts Dave Rankin Invite

The Boilermakers will host their lone home meet of the year.

2012: Captured first at the Meyo Invitational (2/4) in the one mile run with a time of 4:52.92. Placed first at the Tyson Invitational (2/10) in the 3,000 meter run and competed at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/25), scoring a time of 9:33.37. Placed second in the 5,000 meter run at the Sun Angel Classic (4/6-4/7). Competed at the SEC/Big Ten Challenge (3/23) in the 1,500 meter run and the 800 meter run.

Did not compete outdoors during her initial season at Purdue.

High School:Four-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at Carmel High School; led her team to the Indiana High School State Cross Country Team Championship, finishing third overall with a time of 18:25.55 for 5K; ran on the 2009 4x800-meter relay Indiana High School State Championship squad, also led relay to a third-place showing in 2008; clocked a personal record of 5:07 in the 1,600-meter run as a senior; took eighth at the state meet in the 1,600-meter run as a junior, and ninth as a sophomore.

Personal:Kelly Elizabeth McCurdy was born May 24, 1991, in Carmel, Ind.; is the daughter of Scott and Diane McCurdy; has one brother, Ryan, and a twin sister, Kayla, who is also on the Purdue cross country and track and field teams; enjoys swimming, outdoor activities, photography and shopping; intends to major in the college of sciences.
