2014: Participated in five indoor meets, including the Big Ten Championships and competed in six outdoor meets as well, counting the Big Ten Championships ... took first in the pole vault at both the 2014 Fred Wilt Boilermaker Invitational with a jump of 12' 6" and the Purdue Open Outdoor Invitational with a jump of 11' 1.75" ... finished 19th at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the pole vault with a jump of 12' 0.75" ... PR stands at 12' 6" in the pole vault.

Four-year participant in soccer and track, three-year participant in basketball at Boonville High School in Boonville, Ind.; Freshman and sophomore years won track MVP; freshman year was named Big 8 All-Conference in soccer and won Mental Attitude Award in basketball; sophomore, junior and senior years won sportsmanship award in soccer; sophomore year won hustle award; junior year set sectional pole-vault record in track; senior year was soccer team captain, sectional pole-vault record holder, and regional pole-vault winner in track.

Amanda Downey was born on August 25, 1991, in McMinnville, Ten.; the daughter of Dale and Anne Downey; has three sisters, Erika, Samantha and AllyDale; majoring in agricultural engineering.
