Ran in two varsity races indoors, clocking a top 3,000-meter run time of 11:13.43 at the Gene Edmonds Cup.

Four-year letterwinner in cross country, three-year letterwinner in track at H.B. Plant High School; all-state in cross country as a junior; finished 10th in the 3,200-meter state final as a junior; team captain of the cross country team as a senior.
