2010 (SOPHOMORE)
Competed in six varsity meets (four indoors, two outdoors) including the Big Ten Outdoor Championships; ran a career best 3K of 10:22.18 at the Boilermaker Invitational; clocked her career best 10K at the Mike Poehlein Invitational (37:13.62).

2009 (FRESHMAN)
Ran in four varsity races (two indoor, two outdoor); posted a top time of 10:50.43 in the 3,000-meter run during the indoor season; competed in the 10,000-meter run twice with a top mark of 39:32.07 at the Mike Poehlein Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL
Two-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at Zionsville Community High School; named a team captain of both the cross country and track and field teams as a senior; also earned academic all-state honors and the team's most improved award in both sports as a senior as well.

Kara Ashly Conflenti was born Nov. 15, 1989, in Champaign, Ill.; is the daughter of Frank Conflenti and Catherine Spalding; has one brother, Anthony and four sisters: Nicole, Ongelique, Emily and Elyse; enjoys singing, going to the beach and running; majoring in nursing.
