Was the season leader in the 3,000 Meter Run (8:13.82) and the 5,000 Meter Run (14:25.67) during the season. Placed second in the 3,000 Meter Run at the Tyson Invitational on February 10 with a time of 8:13.82. Ran at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/25) and crossed the line with a time of 14:26.91 in the 5,000 Meter Event. Placed first at the Sun Angel Classic (4/6-4/7) with a 14:03.91 time. Earned second at the SEC/Big Ten Challenge on March 23, crossing the line at the 8:14.13 mark.
Competed in six varsity races during the indoor season, including the Big Ten Championships (2/28); ran the team's best 3,000-meter run time at the indoor conference meet, crossing the line in 8:33.62; raced in six varsity meets during the outdoor season as well, including the outdoor conference championships at Ohio State (5/17).
Four-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at Fishers High School; two-time all-state honoree in cross country ('06, '07) and track and field ('07, '08); 2008 Nike Outdoor Nationals All-American; boasts a career-best time of 15:30 for 5K in cross country and 9:19 in the 3,200-meter run in track and field.
Cale Allen Brenner was born Aug. 15, 1989, in Indianapolis, Ind.; is the son of Cliff and Lisa Allen; has one sister, Peyton; enjoys sports, music, photography and video games; majoring in management.
