Personal: Mark Coleman returns for his second year as the choreographer and assistant coach of the Purdue cheerleading program. Last year, Mark choreographed and created the music for Purdue's nationals routine, which went on to make finals and place 13th at UCA college nationals.

A graduate of Tullahoma (Tenn.) High School, Mark was a three sport varsity athlete in basketball, soccer and baseball. After high school, Mark attended Vanderbilt University where he received his degree in engineering science and mathematics.

Mark was on the Vanderbilt cheerleading squad and was captain his senior year. That year, as captain, Mark choreographed and helped lead his Commodores to a 17th place finish at UCA college nationals.

After college, Mark went on to coach and choreograph at Kentucky Elite All-Stars from 1999-2002. He then became a co-owner/coach/choreographer at Pep Club of Lexington from 2002-2007. Since then, Mark has choreographed and coached numerous all-star, high school and junior high teams around the country under his own business, Performance Spirit. Since 1999, Mark has won over 35 state and nationals titles as a coach/choreographer.

Mark Lee Coleman is the son of Tracy and Judy Coleman. Mark has a younger brother, Tom. He currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife Shanna, his two sons, Sterling and Porter, and his daughter Harper.
