Athletics Communications

The Purdue athletics communications office, located in Room 2235 on the upper level of the Mackey Arena wing, is responsible for providing accurate and timely information to a variety of customers, including student-athletes, coaches, fans and media. The staff, which is comprised of 10 full-time staff members and numerous student assistants, reports on and publicizes all 18 varsity sports in addition to improving the image of the Purdue Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, as well as that of Purdue University in general.

Other areas of responsibility handled by the athletics communications staff include writing content and producing video for Purdue's official athletics website (purduesports.com), arranging interviews with student-athletes and coaches, setting up and moderating press conferences, publishing game programs, overseeing statistics crews and coordinating social media.
