Athletics Communications

The Purdue athletics communications office, located on the upper level of the Mackey Arena wing, is responsible for providing accurate and timely information to a variety of customers, including student-athletes, coaches, fans and media. The office, which is comprised of nine full-time staff members and numerous student assistants, reports on and publicizes all 18 varsity sports in addition to improving the image of the Purdue Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, as well as that of Purdue University in general.

Other areas of responsibility handled by the athletics communications staff include writing content and producing video for Purdue's official athletics website (purduesports.com), arranging interviews with student-athletes and coaches, setting up and moderating press conferences, publishing game programs, producing the football and basketball radio and television shows, and coordinating social media.
