FOOTBALL: Season Long Activities & Promotions

Boiler Bridge Walk
This event takes place on Fridays before all seven home games and features the team interacting with its fellow citizens as they walk across the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge. Fans of all ages are invited to join Purdue Pete, the cheerleaders, the Boilermaker Special and community leaders. A different youth organization from the community will lead the team from the fountain on the West Lafayette side of the bridge across to Riehle Plaza, and the players will handout giveaway items each week. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with the team arriving around 5:45 p.m.

Storefront Spirit Contest
The contest will promote Boilermaker pride throughout the West Lafayette and Lafayette communities, rewarding the local businesses that participate and the fans that vote in the contest on Facebook. For more information click here.

StreetFest
Fans, especially families, looking for fun before home games will want to check out the popular Boilermaker StreetFest. Meet the teams, play on the inflatable games, get prizes, pick up posters and more! StreetFest begins approximately three hours prior to kick off. The StreetFest location for this season will be located on the northeast corner of Ross-Ade Stadium. For the Homecoming game, StreetFest will be located near the campus celebration festivities. The event is free for the whole family.

Boiler Walk
The football team will depart the Purdue Memorial Union approximately two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff, bus around campus via State Street, McCormick Road, Cherry Lane and John R. Wooden Drive before being dropped off on the north side of Ross-Ade Stadium near Purdue Pride. The Boilermakers then will walk to their locker room in the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility. Fans are encouraged to line the sidewalks along John R. Wooden Drive to greet the team upon its arrival.

Thrill on the Hill
This event, at Slayter Center of Performing Arts, will begin two hours prior to kickoff and feature upbeat music and favorites by the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band and last approximately 40 minutes. Then the band begins its voyage to Ross-Ade, marching up the west side of the stadium, stopping to perform a brief concert on the north plaza and marching down the east side before entering at the southeast corner. As you see and hear the "All-American" Marching Band go by, that is your signal to pack up those tailgates and head into Ross-Ade.
