Set to open in August 2011 and designed with an eye to the future, the Mackey Arena Weight Room is the latest facility constructed for Purdue’s student-athletes. With a space that is nearly four times larger than the previous weight room in the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility, the Mackey Weight Room features state-of-the-art equipment to aid in improving speed, strength, flexibility, injury prevention and rehab. The area will serve as the primary workout facility for the majority of Purdue’s varsity teams, including men’s and women’s basketball.
