Kane Thompson
Kane Thompson was hired as a sports performance assistant in May of 2011. He will oversee the sports performance programs for diving and men's tennis, and assist with baseball, football, and swimming. Before coming to Purdue, he was a graduate assistant and the University of Northern Iowa. He also interned at XL Acceleration in Waterloo, Iowa. Thompson earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching and a master's degree in kinesiology at Northern Iowa. He also was an instructor and played football for the Panthers. Kane's brother, Shea, is a sports performance specialist. Thompson is CPR, First Aid, and AED certified, as well as USAW Sports Performance Level 1.
