Molly Binetti was hired as a sports performance assistant in June 2013 after spending the previous year as a graduate intern in strength and conditioning at the University of Minnesota.
Binetti coordinates the sports performances programs for women's tennis and cheer at Purdue. She also assists with volleyball, women's soccer, cross country and women's swimming.
Binetti, who worked specifically with the women's basketball and softball teams at UM, joined Purdue after also spending the 2012-13 school year as the strength and conditioning coach at Cretin-Derham Hall high School in St. Paul, Minn.
She received her bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from Marquette University and a master's in applied kinesiology from Minnesota. While at Marquette, Binetti served as a strength and conditioning assistant, where she worked with coaches in designing workouts for all 15 of the Golden Eagle teams. In the spring of 2012, she was a performance specialist intern at Athletes' Performance in Phoenix, where she helped design and implement lifting and conditioning programs for athletes ranging from Major League Baseball players to European professional athletes, and high school athletes and boot camp participants.
Binetti is a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and also is certified in occupational safety and health administration, CPR and First Aid.
