WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Tomorrow's Purdue football game against Ohio State is marked for the first-ever Social Media Day at Ross-Ade Stadium and will feature several opportunities for fans to meet some of their favorite Boilermakers, win prizes and engage various social media accounts of the Purdue athletics department.
Saturday's festivities will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. with a social media scavenger hunt, which will feature an opportunity to meet Purdue men's basketball coach Matt Painter, the Purdue women's basketball team, NBA Champion Brian Cardinal and more. Prizes include tickets for Purdue football, men's basketball and women's basketball, autographed memorabilia and more. Be sure to follow @PurdueSports on Twitter to have a chance to win.
Other promotions include a "Like and Win" giveaway at the fan services area of Ross-Ade Stadium, a pair of Tweet-Ups with Boilermaker greats, a "Tweet the Tune" contest and the FanGram of the Game. Any fan who comes by the fan services table in Ross-Ade and shows the marketing representatives that they "Like" Purdue Athletics on Facebook will get a free Boilermaker key chain.
The fans will have four choices to select the Boilermakers' entry song for the second half of the game via Twitter, as will be announced during the first half of the game from the @PurdueSports Twitter account. The Boilermakers will also select one Instagram post from Saturday's game to be displayed on the video board as the FanGram of the Game.
