WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - It is Homecoming weekend at Purdue, and Tracking the Boilermakers is published a day early. The Boilermaker Night Train Parade is Friday night at 8, beginning at the corner of Pierce and State streets and ending at Mackey Arena. The football team (1-3, 0-1 Big Ten) plays its final non-conference game at noon Saturday against Northern Illinois (3-0) at Ross-Ade Stadium. Five members of the Purdue coaching staff coached against the Huskies last season: Darrell Hazell, Marcus Freeman, Jon Heacock and Jafar Williams at Kent State and Greg Hudson at Florida State. Saturday's game marks just the second non-conference Homecoming game since 1951. The Boilermakers lost to Oregon State in 1967. Purdue's overall Homecoming game record stands at 50-36-4. With the projected attendance at more than 50,000, Purdue will have crowds of at least that many for its first three games for the first time since the 2008 season. A total of 30,808 season tickets were sold this year - including 5,657 new sales - an increase of more than 10 percent over last season.
Streaking Volleyball Opens Big Ten Play

The junior was joined on the all-tournament team by redshirt seniors Rachel Davis and Katie Griffin. Both Wisconsin (11-1) and Minnesota (12-1) have won five straight matches. Purdue has won its last four Big Ten openers and seven of 10 under head coach Dave Shondell.

After this eastern road swing, Purdue plays five of its next seven games at home.
