CHICAGO - On June 24, Purdue fans can tune into the Big Ten Network to catch 24 straight hours of Boilermaker programming.
The Boilermakers enjoyed great success this past year, and the Big Ten Network will replay some of the highlights next week. The men’s basketball Big Ten Tournament championship game vs. Ohio State will air at 8 p.m. ET. The women’s golf team’s second consecutive conference championship will air at 7 p.m. ET, and the women’s volleyball victory over Michigan will air at 10 a.m. ET.
Five episodes of the Big Ten’s Greatest Games, featuring the Purdue football and men’s basketball teams, also are part of the day’s programming, including the 1991 double-overtime basketball victory over Michigan at 1 p.m. ET, the 1998 Alamo Bowl vs. No. 4 Kansas State at 4 p.m. ET and the 1999 football win vs. Notre Dame at 10 p.m. ET.
Episodes of Purdue campus programming will air throughout the day, including a documentary on former Purdue player and Basketball Hall of Fame member John Wooden at 3:30 p.m. ET and two episodes of Vet School Diaries at noon ET and 12:30 p.m. ET. Also, there will be an episode of Big Ten Short Stories, featuring segments on men’s basketball standout Chris Kramer, former head football coach Joe Tiller and a two-part Women’s Hoops All-Access special at 3 p.m. ET.
The day of Purdue programming is the final day of 11 full days of programming devoted to individual Big Ten universities, including Illinois (May 31), Michigan State (June 1), Indiana (June 3), Minnesota (June 7), Northwestern (June 8), Iowa (June 10), Michigan (June 15), Ohio State (June 17), Penn State (June 21) and Wisconsin (May 27). Two more full days per university of school-specific programming also are planned for later in the summer.
