Ross-Ade South End Zone Bleachers Being Removed

The upper bleachers of the south end zone in Ross-Ade Stadium are being removed.

The decision was made in order to avoid necessary maintenance to the bleachers to ensure their safety and to repurpose the area with a new look and feel in anticipation of the previously announced proposed major renovation in the coming years.

A formal announcement on how the space will be utilized for the 2014 season will be forthcoming.

The upper bleachers account for approximately 6,100 seats. Fans that have purchased tickets in that area for the upcoming season will be contacted by the Purdue Athletic Ticket Office beginning Monday and offered seats in the lower bleachers or in section 129 of the main stands at no additional cost for the 2014 season.

The lower bleachers, which seat approximately 1,000 fans, will remain at present.
