WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue athletics director Morgan Burke today announced changes in duties within the office of sports administration, the senior leadership group that supervises the Boilermakers' 18 programs.

Senior associate athletics director Ed Howat, who oversees the student services function within the department, now will also administer four sport programs: baseball, soccer, and men's and women's swimming and diving.

Senior associate athletics director Nancy Cross oversees five programs - women's basketball, men's and women's golf, and men's and women's tennis - along with the John Purdue Club and is the department senior woman administrator.

Associate athletics director Calvin Williams has seven programs: men's and women's cross country, softball, men's and women's track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.

Burke administers men's basketball and football.

The changes, effective July 1, stem from the death of associate athletics director Tom Reiter, who was part of the office of sports administration, in January.
