2010 John Purdue Club Weekend Information

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - There still is time to register for the 2010 John Purdue Club Weekend.
After another exciting year of Purdue Athletics, join fellow members, coaches and administrators for the traditional Old Gold & Black summertime celebration.
The weekend gets under way Friday, June 4, with lunch beginning at 11 a.m., followed by the Schleman-Hovde Classic starting at 1 p.m. Join a foursome or make your own for a great afternoon on the Ackerman Hills and Kampen courses. Test your golf skills for a chance to win individual prizes, along with a chance to win team prizes. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m., followed by a program featuring updates from athletics director Morgan Burke and several Boilermaker coaches.
On Saturday, June 5, lunch is served beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m. start for the Boilermaker Scramble that gives members the opportunity to interact with student-athletes, coaches and administrators. While fun is the name of the game, prizes will be await the winning groups. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m., and the program will include updates from Burke and different coaches from Friday evening, plus a keynote message from former Boilermaker basketball great Brian Cardinal, a 10-year veteran of the National Basketball Association.
A highlight of John Purdue Club Weekend is honoring members for their service to Purdue Athletics. In addition to the traditional "Black Coat" and "Diamond P" Awards, those with 10 and 25 years of membership in the Club are honored both evenings.
There also will be a silent auction of Boilermaker memorabilia, with the proceeds benefitting Purdue Athletics.
Whether you are a seasoned golfer or just want to talk Boilermaker sports, this weekend is for you - the John Purdue Club member who makes it all possible. We look forward to seeing you there. This event is for active John Purdue Club members only.
Spots also remain for the second-annual Boilermaker Huddle in Heels Football Clinic, presented by the John Purdue Club and Purdue Football. This comprehensive overview of football basics is designed especially for the ladies who love Purdue football; however, gentlemen also are welcome to attend.
Learn the basics of football from coaches and women of Purdue football. Take part in a question-and-answer session with head coach Danny Hope and get a picture taken with your favorite Boilermaker player. There's a whole new game plan for those who attended last year.
The Boilermaker Huddle in Heels Football Clinic will be held June 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Kissell Center of Ross-Ade Stadium. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m.
The cost is just $20 for John Purdue Club members and students and $25 for non-members. All participants will receive a study guide, as well as lunch and snacks, and are eligible to win divine prizes. A special "Huddle in Heels" t-shirt will be available to order, too.
