WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University is set to host an exciting weekend of women's college basketball. The NCAA Tournament first- and second-round games will be played Sunday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 25 in Mackey Arena. Seven teams, including four ranked in the top-20 nationally will be traveling to West Lafayette, Ind., to begin their bid for a national championship.
Team practices on Saturday, March 22 are open to the public. The schedule is as follows:
11 - 11:50 a.m. - Oklahoma
12 - 12:50 p.m. - Illinois State
1 - 1:50 p.m. - Notre Dame
2 - 2:50 p.m. - Southern Methodist
3 - 3:50 p.m. - Utah
4 - 4:50 p.m. - Purdue
5 - 5:50 p.m. - Tennessee
6 - 6:50 p.m. - Oral Roberts
On Saturday, the ticket office will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. On Tuesday night, when winners of Sunday's matchups will play, tickets will remain on sale until 11:30 p.m. The ticket office opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. the remainder of this week and on Monday.
Ninth-seeded Purdue takes on eighth-seeded Utah on Sunday. The Boilermakers (18-14) and No. 18/17 Utah (27-4) will tip off at 7 p.m. EDT, and the game will be televised by ESPN2.
Also playing at Mackey Arena in the Oklahoma City Regional will be top-seeded Tennessee (30-2) and 16th-seeded Oral Roberts (19-3) on Sunday at approximately 9:30 p.m. That game will be televised by ESPN2.
Four other schools from the Oklahoma City Regional will compete on the Purdue campus, as well. Fourth-seeded Oklahoma (21-8) and 13th-seeded Illinois State (26-6) will square off in the first game of the day on Sunday at Noon (ESPN2), followed by fifth-seeded Notre Dame (23-8) and 12th-seeded Southern Methodist (24-8) at approximately 2:40 p.m. (ESPN).
The four winning teams will play second-round games Tuesday, March 25, at 7 and approximately 9:30 p.m. Both second-round winners advance to face one another on March 30 in the Oklahoma City Regional Semifinal.
Ticket Information: All-session (all six games) ticket prices are $38 for adults and $28 for students. Single-session (two games) ticket prices are $18 for adults and $11 for students. All fans, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter Mackey Arena. Groups of 15 or more can purchase all-session tickets for $24 each and while supplies last, a special offer of four single-session tickets plus popcorn is available for $44.
